An Oklahoma mother's son was kidnapped and killed by a fellow classmate. Jerrod Murray confessed to the killing, but was later found not guilty by reason of insanity. Now, Jeana West is fighting to change that plea option for future violent offenders with a new bill. 

In December 2012, Jerrod Murray told investigators he shot and killed a fellow college student after the idea "popped in his head."

In December 2012, 18-year-old Generro Sanchez was shot and killed in Pottawatomie County by a man who told police he did it because he wanted to know what it felt like to kill someone.
